Urgent plea for Voluntary Coaches

Currently Ipswich lacks a local junior club. Ipswich Bobcats and Tomcats fill the roll for elite athletes but there is a need for a local feeder club and to do that we need a head coach.

Would you like to pass on your experience and contribute to community sport?

Basketball in Ipswich needs you. The interest in and participation in the sport is growing, but without a local junior club all this interest will be lost.

Perhaps you play in a senior team in Ipswich and would like to get into coaching. Ipswich Borough Council may be able to help you with reduced court costs if you had a junior section to your club. Or perhaps you are a keen parent/teacher and want to support your child. There could also be a large financial reduction if you wanted to get an England Basketball Level 2 coaching award.

Adam Keer, Club Development Officer in Ipswich and Kathryn James, Basketball Development Coordinator would like to hear from anyone interested and would seek to support in any way needed.
