General Club Information          

About the Club.

Ipswich ('Bobcats and Tomcats') Basketball Club is based in Ipswich, Suffolk, England.
It competes at various levels and ages in the English National Leagues. 

Ipswich Basketball Club is a  'Members Club' and is organised and administrated by an elected committee.

The club was formed in 1976 from a group of successful players from Chantry High School in Ipswich under the guidance of their teacher, Bob Cunnell.

From that point the club has continued to develop and  flourish and has competed at the highest level for the past 30 years. 

It currently runs 5 National League teams at Junior Men U/18, U/16 Girls, U/15 Boys and U/14 levels for both Girls and  Boys

The Club competes in the England Basketball National leagues at the following levels.

Junior Girls (U/16) -  WNBL RAF South Conference                          Junior Boys  (U/16) - NBL  East Midlands Conference

Boys (U/15) -   NBL RAF  South  Conference.                                    Boys (U/14) - South Conference

Girls (U/14) -   WNBL RAF South  Conference                                   Boys (U/13)  South Conference

Senior Women -             WNBL Division 1       - Withdrawn season 2004/5
Junior Men (U/18) Junior Men South Premier - Withdrawn Season 2008-9  Reformed Sept 2009
